This Privacy Policy explains how PlaySweepstakes.com (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with PlaySweepstakes.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Giveaway entry information. If you enter a giveaway that we sponsor, we collect the first name, last name, email address, state of residence, and date of birth that you submit, along with the date and time of submission and the eligibility and rules acknowledgements you provide. If you win, we additionally collect the information needed to deliver the prize and satisfy tax reporting obligations, which may include your full mailing address and, where the prize value requires it, a completed IRS Form W-9 containing your taxpayer identification number.

Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and your contact details so we can respond.

Automatically collected information. Our hosting provider and our advertising partners automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view.

We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers or financial account information, because we never charge for anything on this Site.

2. How We Use Information

To administer our giveaways: verifying eligibility, removing duplicate entries, conducting the drawing, contacting the winner, and awarding the prize.
To meet legal obligations, including tax reporting and the record-retention requirements that apply to promotions.
To respond to your questions and requests.
To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including detecting fraudulent or automated entries.
To send you marketing email about new giveaways, only if you separately and affirmatively opted in. Marketing consent is never required to enter a giveaway and never affects your chance of winning.

3. Advertising and Cookies

This Site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Site may not function normally if you do.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising cookies described in Section 3.

Service providers that operate the Site on our behalf, such as our web host, our entry form processor, and our email delivery provider, each of which may use the information only to perform services for us.
Winner announcements. If you win, and except where prohibited by law, we may publish your first name, last initial, and state of residence as described in the Official Rules.
Legal and safety reasons, where disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Business transfer, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Third-Party Giveaways and Links

Most listings on this Site describe giveaways and sweepstakes operated by other companies. When you follow a link to another company’s promotion, you leave this Site and any information you provide is governed by that company’s privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive the entry information you submit to third parties. Review the privacy policy and official rules of any promotion before entering it.

6. Data Retention

We keep giveaway entry records for at least four years after the end of the applicable entry period, because promotion and tax rules require that records be available for inspection. Marketing list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Marketing email. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not withdraw a giveaway entry and does not affect your chance of winning.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion of it, to obtain a portable copy, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states have comparable rights under their own laws.

To exercise a right, email giveaways@playsweepstakes.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request by confirming control of the email address associated with your information, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Please note that we cannot delete entry records for an open giveaway without withdrawing your entry, and we may be required to retain winner records for tax and audit purposes.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children, and our giveaways are open only to entrants who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, email giveaways@playsweepstakes.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to entry records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do. Changes take effect when posted.
